Our Guiding Philosophies

Comprehensive and Integrated

By incorporating various aspects from a multitude of research-based early-childhood teaching philosophies, we will encourage an open-ended style of learning which fits the individual child. By utilizing a stimulating outdoor setting, natural loose materials and the work of a variety of committed community partners, we  provide a unique experience unlike any other in Merced County.

Outdoors & Nature

Learning occurs in the context of nature and a significant amount of time is spent outdoors. Natural objects are also found inside. Environmental stewardship and learning to acclimate to different seasons is essential.

At the Clubhouse, we instil a love of
the natural world

Our program in outdoors unless weather is extreme. Nature is incorporated into every aspect of our program. We learn to dress for the season, use natural loose parts and manipulate our surroundings to spark creativity.
